I woke up in Leadville, Colorado this morning in a red tent surrounded by those tall, thin pine trees that look like they might topple over at the slightest gust. I woke to the sting of a crisp predawn, to darkness, stillness, silence. I am grateful for this morning.
Gratitude doesn’t have to be reserved for the big things. In fact, it is best when you start appreciating every good thing in life and realizing that there is nothing too small to be thankful for. Try being grateful for your challenges, practice mindfulness, keep a gratitude journal, express yourself, spend time with those who make you feel alive.
